I recently sent the following email to just about everyone in my contact list. I know that some people read my blog who I may not have their email address, so I wanted to post my email (or plea for help as it may sound) to the blogging world to solicit their help as well. Read to find out more. Thank you in advance for your help!
Dear Friends and Family,
Hello! I hope this email finds everyone well and anticipating the upcoming summer season.
As many of you know, I have been working on my Masters Thesis this past semester, and the time has come for me to collect data for my research. My thesis is studying communication habits of newlywed couples. If you are receiving this email, it is because:
1. You are a newlywed that has been married less than two years
2. You could possibly know a newlywed couple that has been married less than two years
3. You will be getting married this summer and will soon be eligible to participate
4. Or all of the above!
I am writing to ask for your participation in my research. In order to be successful, I need at least 200 people who have been married less than 2 years to answer my survey. If you are interested, please go to the link below. The survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. There are more details on the introduction page of the survey.
In addition, I would also ask your assistance in forwarding this link to any of your friends, family members,co-workers, church members, students, or any other person you may know (don't forget your spouse!) who has been married less than two years. Or, if you would rather send me their email address, then I would be glad to contact them myself regarding their participation. Any person, regardless of their age, religious status, or ideologies, is eligible to participate in this survey. The more diverse my data is, the better the results of my survey will be.
Thank you, so much, for your contribution to my research. Your participation is the most important part of my study. I could do all the background research, write with the eloquence of a famous scholar, or be published in the most esteemed academic journal, but without good data, my study would be meaningless. I appreciate all you can do to aid my success.
Thank you and with best regards,
Karen Norvell

Thanks, Mr. President
Because Dave and I did some responsible things with our tax return, we decided to be good stewards of the money our government gave us and fulfill our civic duty of stimulating the economy.
and Dexter got some enjoyment out of the packaging.

Unfortunately, we had to keep the bunny ears too.
On Friday morning I watched the news on this....
Unfortunately, we had to keep the bunny ears too.
The remaining part of the stimulus package went to something else I am so excited to show you, but it's a work in progress, so I'm going to wait till it's all finished before I reveal it to the blogging world.
What are you spending your "free money" on?

Flowerbed Before and Afters
It was a clear day with a nice, cool breeze. The perfect day to tend to the jungle that had become our flower beds. Thanks to mom's offer to buy some mulch, we made a trip to Lowe's and spent the morning pulling, planting, and mulching. Here are the before and after pictures.
The side flowerbed before....
