Dave spent the afternoon trimming our unusually large tree in the front yard. We are trying to grow grass on our mostly dirt lawn, and this tree is so huge that it prevents all sun light from aiding the grass growth. We borrowed a pole saw and barely made a dent in the much needed pruning, but at least we didn't have to pay someone!

Yeah, that would have been nice if your landlord took care of it. Our landlord has a three-step policy. We try to fix it first, then he tries, THEN he'll call someone. I guess it's good for us to learn some home maintenance skills--and learn it on someone else's house! :)
Hey Norvells, where do you live? Joe and I are looking for a house, but don't know if we'll make it out before our lease is up. Can you rent month to month?
