A RARE WEEKEND WITH THE FAMILY
These two bring me so much joy,
And I love this guy with me...so much!
And this girl....she's my jewel.

The weekend....was one to go down in the record books. I think I experienced just about every emotion in the book, give or take a few. Maybe if I had won the lottery I could have fit them all in there. I will spare the details, as many of you fellow readers are family members and experienced them with me. Instead, let me share some pictures of the end of the weekend. A dinner out with my siblings and my grandmother...a rare occasion considering we all live in 4 separate states. I love all of these pictures. Each one is so good and flattering to all of us. I love my family, too. This weekend solidified so much between sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. There are times I wish all my family lived next door to me. I read the words of a fellow blogger and member of my extended family who is fortuante enough to be surrounded by loved ones, and at times, feel some sadness that I have "missed out" on being close to my family, both geographically and emotionally, over the years. One thing I know for sure, though, is that I would never trade our successes, our goals, our desires, and the beautiful things the Lord has done with us apart just to have them live down the highway from me. Now don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have both, but right now, I am thankful that we have this.

Ahhh! Karen, great pictures!!! What a special family you have, great bro and sisters, God truly is gracious!
Yes, I too may have felt some similar emotions, feelings, wishing we had lived closer. However, I am so grateful for the moments we have had, and look forward to times again, when we can laugh together! Love you! aunt Carol A. aka Carol Grams of cute Henry!!
Hi dearest Karen,
thanks so much for posting these pictures. I love your heart and the feelings behind all the words you've said here - I feel the same way. It was wonderful to be with you last weekend. We love you very much!
