Happy Halloween (a day late)

Meet "Dave, the headless teacher"

Our Jack-o-lanterns.
Skinny Steve (carved by Karen) on the left and Fat Phil (carved by Dave) on the right

Here is Dave and I participating in our church's annual Trunk or Treat. It is the second year we have gotten to participtae. 150 church members volunteer to line up their trunks in the parking lot and all the local families come out to trick-or treat. It is a safe, friendly alternative to your local neighborhood trick-or-treating, and a huge outreach for our church. Last year we had about 10 new families come to join who first came to Trunk or Treat. This year they went all out, with games, food and a gospel juggler (Sarah V, I know you are rolling your eyes at that one...I did too a little). We went through about 5 bags of candy, each containing 100 peices. It was a fun evening, needless to say. And no, I won't tell you how many of those 500 peices Dave and I ate :>).

Hello cute Norvells! Sounds like a really fun Halloween. I'm afraid we didn't do anything festive, alas. I like your jack o laterns, you are getting to be quite talented at that.
