Those are the only colors we can anticipate for our bundle of joy right now. We had a fantastic doctors appointment today. Little C is healthy, has a good, strong heartbeat, and seems to be growing very well. I'm doing well, too. My blood pressure is under control, I've gained a nice amount of weight, and if all continues to go according to plan, we are on tap for a healthy little one in June.
Of course, my biggest excitement for the day was finding out if we were having a boy or girl. What's funny is, going into the appt today, I had this gnawing feeling that we were going to be in this exact prediciment. I mean, it would only make sense that the child of Karen Vendsel and David Norvell would be just as stubborn as their parents and refuse to give us a good look. At the beginning of the sonogram, Little C had managed to sweep the cord right between their legs, blocking all access to the needed regions in order to determine one's sex. After moving all around my belly taking multiple pictures, having me turn on both sides, jiggling what little slack there is in my stomach, Little C had managed to move the cord, but then crossed their ankles ever so perfectly to continue preventing access. So, after a good 30 mins of sticky goo being rubbed all over my stomach, we had to give up our spot for the next set of anxious soon-to-be parents.
The up side to all this?? In addition to not being able to tell the sex, the tech also couldn't get a good view of Little C's face. When I brought this up to my doctor in our appt later, she was gracious enough to order another sono for when we return in 4 weeks under the guise of needing more face pics. This way, we have another chance of finding out pink or blue without having to pay the massive fee ourselves. In reality, she did say that it's important for them to get a good look at the face, and the she probablly would have ordered another sono even if we HAD seen the sex today. So, either way, we will be getting another look at Little C before June.
Thanks to everyone for being so excited for us today. It is nice to share our anticipation with our family and we appreciate all the support. We got some great pictures today, but I'll have to scan them for posting at work. We got two of a profile, one with little C's mout wide open, and one where they are pointing. We also saw them wave multiple times and kick a few times, too.
More later....

Well I've got green and yellow fabric, too.... :)
Really glad you get another shot at it next time!
My sister's first was stubborn the whole way through. They were never "quite" sure whether it was a girl or boy. It wound up being a girl, so maybe you'll have one too (just for fun's sake that's my prediction). But I know the anticipation you feel and glad Baby C is healthy. Hang in there, 4 more weeks and maybe you'll know... :)
